All-Round Shakib Al Hasan Leads Bangladesh to Win the 1st ODI

Sania Mirza Wants to win through a Grand Slam in Women's Doubles

The adjoining Sania Mirza drew closer to win a Grand Slam in women's doubles was when she ended as a finalist in the 2011 French Open along with Russia's Elena Vesnina.

 Sania is not satisfied with captivating the WTA Finals doubles crown along with Zimbabwean Cara Black and a grasp of other impressive titles this year, Indian tennis world-class Sania Mirza on Thursday said she desires to settle the women's doubles Grand Slam designation before execution up her tennis shoes.

"I am without doubt looking for that women's doubles Grand Slam. I have prevailed the world championship now, have won the mixed doubles designation three times. I am definitely looking ahead to a women's doubles Grand Slam and, hopefully, that happens before I end playing," Sania Mirza expressed to PTI.

Sania was one of the finalist at the 2011 French Open with her Russian partner Elena Vesnina. 

The 28 year older from Hyderabad has had her share of damages. She almost thought that her career was over in 2010.

“I was unfit really. My wrist was in distress because of the bone order that I have and my joints are extremely portable. I was tensed and thought my career was over in 2010 when I wasn't able to examine my hair for six months. Yup, for me this is a moment life of my career," she expressed.

Sania Mirza said she is excited to colleague Chinese Taipei's Su-Wei Hsieh in women's doubles next year after ending her successful partnership with Black.

"Me and Cara, we occupied ourself really well. We have had a enormous year and I am looking ahead to a new connection to be built on that and optimistically have a grand year," she assumed.

Asked how hard it is to play with a new partner, Sania Mirza said, "It is a slight hard. It is not shocking but it is a slight hard. You need to know each other. Optimistically get along with each other on and off the square. If you get along off the quad then it is superior. But you have to effort on it like any other affiliation."

The Hyderabad star will be next seen in act in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) where she would be in the same team as Swiss veteran Roger Federer.

She said the IPTL and Vijay Amritraj's Champions Tennis League would help the game in the kingdom. "I consider leagues are doing fine in every sport and I think that will help sport develop. Positively having these iconic players and the best-evers (former players) coming to the country is definitely going to help tennis a lot in this kingdom," Sania believed.

Sania Mirza, who gained the women's doubles bronze in the last Asian Games in Incheon with Prarthana Thombare, felt the talent in women's tennis in the country is enlightening.

"They are getting a slight better now. We had a bit of a break in the middle. The fact is that we were able to win a figure award for the first time ever says a lot.

"I do understand that I was playing but there was a girl next to me as well who was sufficient to play and that means a lot. I offer credit to her for being able to play at that standard. So, obviously there is a plenty of ability and I hope that more talented players arrive who can take the next step and subsequently dive," she said.

Sania also said she could have made it into the top 20 in singles but had to go away it as it was taking a toll on her body.

"I have had three surgeries. I have a bone circumstance, a joint circumstance. I was 27 in the world. After Vijay (Amritraj) or Ramesh (Krishnan) there has been no one - whether a man or a woman - (from India) in the top 30.

"I would have appreciated to be in the top 20, obviously, because we are hungry as tennis players and we are never going to be pleased. But with my body, I had to receive that call."

Sania Mirza said that 17 time Grand Slam singles champion Federer's style reminds her of iconic fictional spy - James Bond.

"He is as elegant as any man can get, perhaps like James Bond. He will win a few Grand Slams and you can almost picture him doing that to his cufflink and walking away like nothing occurred. I believe (he is) stylish and simple and a little enjoyable," she said.

Sania sustained ban-threatened woman boxer Sarita Devi.

"My spirit goes out to her. As an athlete, I fully understand her feeling. It is a little adverse what happened but it was all sentiment and heart really. She was apparently not thinking. My heart goes out to her and I expect she comes back soon after her expected ban by world boxing body AIBA."

AUCKLAND, Sports desk : The most popular Pakistani star off-spin bowler Saeed Ajmal has been prohibited for his illegal bowling action. At Tuesday, ICC banned Saeed Ajmal from playing all kinds of international cricket. Ajmal was caught against Sri Lanka in the last month for his suspecting bowling act. His bowling was tested at Bisabene of Australia. 

There were bio-mechanic experts who examined his bowling delivery. Ajmal bowling action was caught as at time of analysis, it was seen that all the delivery Ajmal presents, bend more than 15 degrees and which is counted above the tolerance of ICC rules & regulations. 

If Ajmal change his bowling action then ICC will allow him to re-examine his bowling action.  

On behalf of the ICC, authority of independent analysis informed that Ajmal bowling action is not valid. And that’s why the law has been enforced on him. Through Analysis, they found that all the delivery of Ajmal is twisted more than 15 degrees, which is higher tolerance of ICC rules & regulations.  

Ajmal has become the most dependent Pakistani bowler in recent years.  Ajmal was the highest wicket taker in all forms of cricket for three years. He is been on the top of ODI bowler rankings. And he is also been inside the top ten ranking bowler of Test and One-day Cricket. As a Pakistani bowler he took 178 wickets in 35 tests as well as 183 wickets in 111 one-day internationals. He also took 85 wickets in 63 T20 matches.

He was suspected for his “Dusra” bowling attack in the year of 2009. He was examined but he got the clearance at that time.

In last few months, Sri Lanka’s player senanayeke and New Zealand's player- Kane Williamson had banned for their illegal bowling action. This time Pakistani bowler Ajmal.
